]]> This is an artist’s contemplation about her roots, the land she was born on, the ethnic group she belongs to, the environment and culture in which she grew up, and which shaped her. In her performance, she recreates an ancient Slavic ritual of bidding farewell to Winter and burning a Winter effigy on a bonfire, along with old unnecessary items and remnants of the past. It represents a parting with the past, experiencing a catharsis, purification, and transitioning into a new state.
