Dance excursion

Video Artist: Olga Tsvetkova
Country: Year: Duration: 5 min 14 sec

Description:

The genre of dance excursion implies exploring space through dance. However, in this work, it is not a human who dances, but a dark entity that changes its form depending on the sounds or architecture of the space. It is guided by a musician who, playing the violin, invites it into transcendence. Only at the very end of the journey do they suddenly switch places, and the entity captivates the musician, taking on the appearance of an extraterrestrial girl.

The film was commissioned by the French Institute in St. Petersburg.
